What does it take to turn a vision into reality? For me, it’s been years of curiosity, passion, and a deep love for all things business. I’ve always been captivated by how the pieces fit together to create something extraordinary. With a knack for bringing ideas to life and a passion for crafting spaces that inspire and uplift, I’ve carried that mindset through every chapter of my life. Now, it’s at the heart of Penn + Pearl.
My husband and I are both teachers, and when I began teaching many years ago, we had only one tiny toddler. Fast forward to today, and our family has grown to include four vibrant daughters, each with her own full calendar of activities. Amid the hustle and bustle, my love for building something meaningful has remained steadfast. Enter Penn + Pearl—a brand born out of determination, vision, and plenty of late-night brainstorming sessions.
For years, I had a strong desire to create something of my own. I dabbled in digital marketing, poured time and energy into learning the ropes, and invested in countless ideas, but nothing ever quite clicked. I needed something that aligned with my love for building and my passion for stylish, comfortable clothing. Penn + Pearl is exactly that—a business built with intention, care, and a commitment to doing things right.
The name is deeply personal. "Penn" is short for my own name, Penny, and "Pearl" represents a place that greatly inspired me. It’s also a heartfelt nod to my daughters, as I’m building this business with them in mind. Together, they embody everything this brand represents: creating something meaningful, intentional, and enduring.

Launching Penn + Pearl is about combining my passion for business with the practical need to create an additional stream of income. Like many teachers, we’ve had to think creatively about how to support our growing family while dreaming of something bigger. This isn’t just a hobby—it’s a serious venture that I’m building with focus and dedication. It’s a testament to what can be achieved when hard work meets heart.

Our brand’s goose mascot holds a special place in my heart, tied to cherished memories of geese gathering by the pond behind my childhood home and the sense of peace I feel watching them fly in formation. She’s a symbol of creativity, connection, and the journey we’re all on together. Soon, with the help of our community, she’ll have a name worthy of her role.
I’m taking this journey one step at a time, having faith in the Lord to guide me as I build something that truly matters.
